CALLING ALL SAQA CENTRAL CANADA ARTISTS:
The 2018 Fibre Content Exibition will be our Fourth Biennial Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fibre Art. Reflecting a wide range of media, Fibre Content exhibits the best of contemporary Canadian Fibre Art. Showcasing works in fabric, paper, yarn, thread and mixed media materials, our goal is to raise the profile, awareness and acceptance of Fibre Art as a true art form.
The Premiere is, again, at the Art Gallery of Burlington, from September 6th to September 16th, 2018. Selected pieces will form a smaller version to travel to numerous Ontario locations. Six locations are already confirmed for 2018 and 2019, with more to come in 2020!
This year’s Jury includes William Hodge – retired after 40 years as Textile Professor at OCAD University, Armure Studios, Stoney Creek, Ontario, Elaine Cheasley Paterson – Associate Professor of Craft History, Faculty of Fine Arts, Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec and Susan Warner Keene – Toronto-based Artist, Independent Educator, Writer and Curator.
