Though she teaches all over the world, those of us in Ontario have the opportunity to spend a week with her this summer to learn all her techniques. She is delighted to be returning to the breathtaking Haliburton School of Art & Design July 10-14 to teach for five glorious days on how to use cheesecloth to sculpt portraits and landscapes, how to add colour with Neocolor II wax pastels, and how to finish and display textile art.

A week in Haliburton is a week you will never forget - a retreat like no other. Registration online is here. If you have any questions, you can contact her through her website She is looking forward to connecting with SAQA members near and far and spending a week with them, enjoying the beauty of the Haliburton campus, and creating wonderful art!

Opening Reception

Sunday, April 23, 1:30 to  3:30 pm

In celebration of Canada's 150th, our Connections Fibre Artists have each chosen artefacts from the Museum's collection to highlight their artworks as they developed stories in cloth and stitch and inspired by Wellington County's past and present.

These art pieces inspire conversations about our STORIES and moments in Canadian History.
"We are pleased to have created works inspired by items from the Museum Archives ," says Elizabeth Duggan Litch, a member of Connections Fibre Artists.

"My piece Stand on Guard , above, is connected to the Canadian National Anthem, representing the things Canadians nurture and protect."

Do plan a visit between April 23 and June 4, 2017 and bring family and friends.
