2. The place to be from April 30-May 3, 2015

A strong beam of light that illuminates a small area, used especially to center attention on a fabulous art quilt

The "Wild about SAQA" Spotlight Auction is an opportunity for all SAQA members to have their work showcased at the Fiberlandia SAQA Conference in Portland, Oregon.

We are looking for pieces 6” x 8” (portrait or landscape orientation), which we will display in mats with a 4.5" x 6.5” opening and place in clear cellophane sleeves. As all works will be matted, raw, straight-stitched or zigzag edges are best. These pieces will be sold through a silent auction, with all proceeds going to benefit SAQA.

This size of artwork can be quick to make, showcasing your voice and raising funds for the organization which helps us all. Plus, it’s your opportunity to collect work made by fellow SAQA members. What a win-win!

Step 1: Complete the Artist Participation Form and email a photo of your piece(s) by March 20, 2015
Step 2:
Mail your Auction Piece along with copy of participation Form to Vou Best (address is on form).  Entries must be received by March 27, 2015.

Questions? Contact Vou Best at or (830) 214-3386.

NOTE: A SAQA Central Canada group mailing will be done by Bethany Garner on March 20th, 2015 from Wellesley Island Postal Outlet, NY... if you want your piece to go along, please get it to Bethany NO LATER than March 18th. Thanks.
