ANNA HERGERT Workshop on KANTHA EMBROIDERY in Ottawa, Sept. 15, 2012

Are you interested in learning more about other cultures and their quilting techniques?

Join us for a virtual trip to India and get introduced to this ancient quilting technique that elevates recycling/reusing to a fine art. Hand quilters and embroiderers will embrace this simple and yet very effective method of embellishing fabric with running stitches to create one of a kind pieces suitable for framing. All you need is to bring a thimble (if you use one) and a pair of small, sharp embroidery scissors. Instructor will provide all other supplies for a kit fee of $25. See samples of Anna's work at .

When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, 9:30 - 4:30 pm

Where: Dragonfly Fabrics, 2679 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa
