Heather Dubreuil will be one of more than thirty artists showing their work at the spring show of the Hudson Artists. The local group is more than sixty years old, and has capped its membership at eighty.

Virtually all the artists work in traditional media, with some forays into encaustic, collage and mixed media. Heather enjoys the opportunity to expose the artists and those visiting the show to her work in fibre, and it has been very well received by the community at large. She feels that she has received more coverage than expected because work in cloth is a new idea for many. The benefit to Heather has been  what the group has to offer in terms of guest speakers, exhibition opportunities, information about suppliers, and friendly support.

Heather encourages other SAQA members to consider joining their local artist groups as a way of broadening the audience for their work, and invites you to visit her website at for more information.
