Synthesis II, Call for Entry

The committee for Synthesis II is making progress in the planning for the show.  We currently have three jurors and are now working to finalize the first venue for the show.  As soon as all the information is available, the official call for entry will go out to all Canadian SAQA members as well as posted on our blog.

In the meantime, for all those members who are anxious to get a head start on their entries, the following is a preview of the call.  Each member residing in Canada may submit up to two entries.  The entry fee for the one or two entries will be $35.00.  All of the pieces will be 24" x 20", landscape or portrait orientation; any mounted pieces must not exceed 1" in depth.  Either vertical or horizontal orientation is acceptable.  We expect the deadline for entries will be September 30th, 2011.  The jurors will then make their selection of 25 pieces and those selected will be notified by November 15th, 2011.  We are hoping the first venue will open in early 2012.  All pieces will travel for two years.

Any questions should be directed to the co-curators, Cathy Breedyk-Law or
Pat Caffery at centralsynthesisii@gmail.com.
