FIBRATIONS Fibre Arts traveling exhibition at SIMCOE COUNTY MUSEUM GALLERY through November 11th.... mark your calendar and do make time to view this exceptional collection.

For the first time since its inception in 2012, the Fibre Content juried exhibition has been condensed into a collection of 38 pieces, featuring artwork garnering high viewers' choice responses and providing a cross-section of the quality and variety of the full show.

The Fibre Content travelling exhibit will be on display at the Simcoe County Museum
from September 19 until November 11, 2017.

These beautiful and thought provoking pieces were created by artists from Studio Art Quilts Associates (SAQA), Grand Guild of Fibre Artists, Group of Eight Fibre Artists, Oakville Fibre Artists, Connections Fibre Artists, Burlington Fibre Arts Guild, and Burlington Handweavers & Spinners Guild.

The main exhibition showcased 125 fibre art quilts and mixed media works by 80 artists from across Ontario in September 2016 at the Art Gallery of Burlington.  A full colour catalogue of all 125 main show works is available.

A special part of Fibre Content is an Interactive Exhibit. Artists made numerous samples of their techniques and style, which you can handle and examine to understand how the work is done — a true learning experience!

Fibrations is a not-for-profit organization originally founded to promote the work of fibre artists and quilt makers through both independent exhibitions and projects, and in connection with other artistic events such as musical performances. The primary ocus of Fibrations over the last several years has become Fibre Content; a juried show of quilts and fibre art pieces by Canadian artists.
