HAY BALES STUDY, Tracey Lawko

Many congratulations to TRACEY LAWKO as her beautiful 'Hay Bales Study' is accepted into Fantastic FIBRES 2015 at the  renowned YEISER ART CENTRE in the lovely downtown Heritage District of Paducah, Kentucky.

The Fantastic Fibers exhibit is an American Quilters Society (AQS) sanctioned event. This year’s AQS Quiltweek runs from April 22-25, 2015 when Paducah becomes Mecca to more than 30,000 quilters and fiber artists from across the globe.

Jurors Marcia Young (Editor in Chief of Fiber Art Now Magazine) and Laverne Zabielski (Kentucky fiber artist at Truly Wearable Art) viewed and scored 430 entries from across the globe for inclusion in this significant exhibition. Narrowing the body of work to 60 pieces was no easy task considering the outstanding quality of submissions.

All 60 works will be on display from April 11 - June 6, 2015 at the Yeiser Art Center.

The show features contemporary and innovative works created with fiber as the primary medium.  One of Yeiser Art Center’s most engaging, innovative & colorful international exhibits, Fantastic Fibers seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding works related to the fiber medium.ey
