Bringing in the New Year with some fun little one day workshops will give area technique and fibre enthusiasts - quilters, dyers, collage and fibre arts lovers the opportunity to play together, create some new stash fabrics and perhaps get a new piece of collage ready for an upcoming exhibition or show.

FIBREWORKS KINGSTON also looks forward to workshops with outstanding Ontario Fibre Artists HOLLY DEAN and DIANNE GIBSON in April and May respectively. See their course descriptives here:

HOLLY DEAN - April 17-19, 2015: CREATING YOUR MUSE JOURNAL

Really hoping that each of you are working away after Christmas in "the week between" just to get the jump on things you wanted to do all year long and just did not have the time for...and that you will be sharing your new work in the next few months as we get out and about and see each other.

Contemporary fibre art has become an increasingly popular art form with more and more art curators, galleries and the public embracing it. Sophisticated colour, luscious texture and clever manipulation of surface design are just a few of the defining elements of this fascinating medium.

Please make time for all of your creative art activities in the New Year and be sure to include friends.
