SAQA CENTRAL CANADA REGIONAL MEETING
REMINDER...
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2014
(Central Canada Regional Group - Kingston and area)
 Belleville Public Library
The John M Parrott Art Gallery,
Meeting Room - third Floor
223 Pinnacle Street in downtown Belleville
    10am to 3pm

We welcome all SAQA members along the 401 corridor to join us in Belleville on Thursday,  November 13th. Yes, we know Belleville will be a long ride for some of you who live in Kingston and beyond, and we thank JOAN REIVE for arranging the special meeting to be able to spend time in a Gallery setting and have the opportunity to actually walk the Gallery setting with the Curator, Susan Holland. Hoping to have guests from Picton, Belleville and Tweed areas - even Coburg and Port Hope join us.

The John M. Parrott Gallery is a beautiful location for both group and solo showings. Susan is very supportive and the Gallery has hosted the SAQA Synthesis I and II Shows, the Kingston Fibre Artists and Quinte Fibre Artists on several occasions and recently a beautifully presented Retrospective Exhibition for Joan Reive. It is so important for us to make these connections and support our local/area Galleries that are fibre friendly.

The Gallery is easy to find on Pinnacle Street in the downtown corridor. Just blend left at the "Y" as you proceed south on Highway 62 into downtown. Car pooling is certainly recommended, and do know that Belleville is a wonderful city to explore. The downtown has another great exhibition space, Gallery 121 on Bridge Street. Restaurants abound and the great Quilt Shop, FUN WITH STITCHES is nearby with a great sale on this month.

We will start the meting with our shared CREATIVE BUFFET, your newest work or bring work needing some support/critique in the finishing stages. News of your upcoming exhibitions, or travels to area shows always welcome.

Bring your lunch, coffee and tea will be available and there is a little "treats shop" in the Library, main level. Also check out the Library "used book sale" as you come in the front door. I never fail to find a few great art books to bring home.

See you in Belleville next Thursday... and bring a friend. Guests always welcome.
