And from the Heritage Mississauga Website:

Contemporary fibre art has become an increasingly popular art form with more and more art curators, galleries and the public embracing it. Sophisticated colour, luscious texture and clever manipulation of surface design are just a few of the defining elements of this fascinating medium.

Three years ago Heritage Mississauga hosted fibre artist Pat Hertzberg’s Solo Show “Out of the Woods”.  As a member of the renowned CONNECTIONS Fibre Artists group, Pat has now brought the beautiful work of this group to the Grange Gallery at Heritage Mississauga for a very special show – “18-SQUARE”.

Because each CONNECTIONS artist uses personally-developed, unique fibre techniques, the 18-SQUARE show is a wonderfully diverse exhibition of contemporary fibre art. This show will be travelling to different cities across Canada and Heritage Mississauga was chosen to be the first to unveil it!

In the fibre art world, CONNECTIONS are a nationally recognized group of accomplished Canadian Fibre Artists. The group, formed in 1999, includes members who are published authors, members who show internationally, give workshops and are regarded as pioneers in the fibre art field.

Twenty-one members have produced new work for this show:

Dwayne Wanner, Linda Janzen, Hilary Rice, Sybil Rampen, Dianne Gibson, Maggie Vanderweit, Elizabeth Duggan Litch, Nancy Yule, Frankie LeMonde Meunier, Penny Berens, Ralph Beney, Jackie Venus, Helen Hughes, Gunnel Hag, Ann Sanders, Gondana Brelih, Chris Kummer, Sharron Begg, Bev White, Gail Rhynard, and Pat Hertzberg.

The title “18-SQUARE”  refers to the fact that every piece in the show fits precisely in an 18 inch square format. During the month of November, the 18-SQUARE Show is being run concurrently with the 2014 World of Threads Festival, an international exposition of contemporary fibre art.

A number of the works are for sale.

Hoping you will have time to see the exhibit during the months of December or January.
