The 2014 Anniversary Trunk Show will premier at the 2014 SAQA conference in Washington, DC, and then travel all across the United States and around the world. A group of quilts from this exhibition will be chosen by jurors Linda Colsh and Margaret “Peg” Keeney to become a permanent part of the collection of the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky.
The requirements for sizing and mailing your piece and the registration package including the address for mailing your 7" x 10" finished piece to Trunk Show Coordinator, Eileen Doughty by the January 31, 2014 deadline is found here: http://www.saqa.com/trunk-submit.php
Bethany Garner has offered to collect Central Canada pieces and ship them all together. She has set a December 15th deadline for receipt of the pieces to be mailed as a group. You will still have to complete the online registration process and make note in the comments section that your piece will arrive with other Central Canada pieces.
Mail or deliver your piece to either CANADA BEAD (and Bethany will arrange for a pick-up in Ottawa) or directly to Bethany at 3275 Orser Road, Elginburg, ON K0H 1M0.
Thanks and hoping for a great Central Canada group to represent our Region of Canada's SAQA members.
(please feel free to contact me if you cannot meet the December 15th date but intend to submit a piece)
