SACRED STITCHES Exhibition opens October 24th at St. James Cathedral, Toronto

 SACRED STITCHES
"Beauty and Holiness in the Needlework of Many Faiths"
October 25 thru November 1, 2013 

 Group Exhibition in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the 
Ecclesiastical Needleworkers of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto

Toronto, Ontario
 Open between 7 am and 7 pm


To mark the 100th Anniversary of the Needleworkers Guild of the Diocese of Toronto, a multi-faith exhibit of embroideries and textile art will be held in the nave of the Cathedral beginning Thursday  evening October 24th and open daily until 7 pm, Friday November 1, 2013. Included will be items from the Coptic, United, Lutheran, Catholic, Russian Orthodox and Anglican Churches, as well as from synagogues, mosques and temples of the Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist faiths.

Hilary Rice, SAQA PAM member, will have three pieces from her "Rare Reflections" body of work included in the exhibition.
