"The Birds & the Bees & the Flowers & the Trees"
An exhibit of quilts, fibre art & wood carvings inspired by nature.
STRATFORD PERTH MUSEUM
4275 Huron Road, RR#5
Artists working in fabrics and wood portray the natural beauty of southwestern Ontario in quilts, fibre art and wood carvings that inspire and delight. Traditional quilts - pieced and appliqued - are vibrant with colour and pattern. Abstract quilts and fibre art evoke the subtle textures of fields and forests. Lifelike carvings of birds and animals are worked in exquisite detail. It's SPRING, and a feast for the eyes and the spirit!
More than 70 quilts and 30 carved birds, flowers and animals are on display.
The exhibit is curated by SAQA member Micaela Fitzsimmons and includes fibre art by SAQA members Maggie Vanderweit and Cynthia McNair.
The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm
Beginning May 1st, we are also open Sunday and Monday, 12-4 pm
