Congratulations Heather Dubreuil and Michele Meredith

Have you ever biked the Soulanges Canal? It's a 27 km stretch from Pointe-des- Cascades to St.-Zotique, just north of Valleyfield, Quebec. The bike path sees 100,000 visitors annually, who bike, walk, and rollerblade along its length. Each kilometre is marked with a tall post that displays back-to-back six foot tall banners, each featuring an image of an original work of art by a regional artist or artisan. The organizers call it Canada's largest outdoor art gallery.

Heather Dubreuil and Michele Meredith are delighted to have been included in the 54 artists whose work was chosen for this project. The banners will be on display for the next four years.

As well, the actual art works will be shown around the county all this summer, beginning with the official opening at Pavillon Wilson, 48 rue Principale, Coteau-de-Lac, May 3, 6 - 10 p.m. You are warmly invited to join Heather and Michele for the vernissage.
