SAQA Central Canada Regional Meeting June 28th
Held at Dragonfly Fabrics, Ottawa, Sharon Collins, Host Co-Rep
We had 19 members and guests at the meeting; a few of the guests were soon to become members. We began with a report on Synthesis II by Pat Caffery. Discussion was held regarding possible other venues. Since the meeting, Pat has confirmed a new exhibition location for the late fall 2012.
There was a reminder for SAQA Annual Conference in Santa FE, New Mexico April 25-28, 2013. The SAQA site has info about booking rooms.
The SAQA 2012 Benefit Auction begins Sept. 10th. SAQA.com website has details of which pieces have been selected to be auctioned on line and which will be in Houston. If you want to bid on a piece in Houston you will have to have someone in Houston bid for you…or you can always go to Houston to see the show.
There was discussion about SAQA membership drive with a recommendation to encourage a like-minded friend to join.
