Pat Caffery's work chosen for Layers of Memory Show

Pat Caffery's "A Grandmother's Love" was chosen for the SAQA Show, Layers of Memory, a show designed to represent the human processes of memory.

Congratulations Pat

Pat's statement about her work follows:

" At four I was ‘invited’ by my Grandmother to help make her grandchildren quilts. Mine provided many years of comfort and a closeness to my Grandmother. Fragments still have the same effect. 'A Grandmother's Love' includes a fragment of the original quilt along with Italian cotton organza and a cotton backing. An embroidered outline of my grandmother and myself and the word ‘love’ attach the organza to the original fragment."
